2017 Audi A4 allroad Wagon Engine

9.4/10
“It should come as no surprise that we like driving the Allroad, what with our admiration for the Audi A4 and our unyielding love of station wagons everywhere. Still, it’s always nice to be proven right. The Allroad feels larger than the A4 sedan, but it’s still quick and agile, especially compared with certain less graceful competitors.”-caranddriver

Ride and Handling

In terms of riding and handling, the A4 Allroad wagon resembles the A4 sedan. It is well-received for its acceleration, handling, braking, and a smooth all-wheel-drive system. The same is true for the 2017 Allroad Wagon. However, not everything and everyone’s perfect. As such, Allroad is plagued by an initial hitch in acceleration and a steering wheel devoid of feel. However, they are the only 2 issues you need to deal with.

In addition to flaunting a light off-road capability, the ride offers a pleasant drive on the highway. Though in no way the ride compares to full-fledged SUVs, it offers a comfy and powerful driving experience nonetheless. Driving the wagon on unpaved, snow-covered conditions, in fact, pose no threat.

Braking

The Wagon has fairly powerful and responsive braking power. There’s only 0.3-inch difference between the sizes of the front and the rear brakes. While the front brake is 13.3 inches in size, the rear one measures 13 inches. The  Allroad requires a distance of 119 feet for coming to a complete stop while decelerated continually from 60 MPH. This is better than the 123 feet and 130 feet required by 330i xDrive and Volvo V60 T5, respectively.

2017 Audi A4 allroad Wagon Interior

8.0/10
“The A4 Allroad has an attractive, businesslike interior, which we would like far better if we hadn’t seen the art piece that is the Volvo V90 cabin. It may not be beautiful, but the Allroad is perfectly functional, handsome, nicely appointed, and comfortable.”- caranddriver

Seating and Comfort

Despite being shorter in length than the counterparts, the Allroad wagon’s rear seat offers enough legroom as both BMW 330i and Volvo V60 T5. No matter what, the average-size adults and children won’t complain about the seating for sure.

“Although it's not quite as sexy as the A4 Avant that Europeans get, the Allroad is still a handsome vehicle. The lifted suspension doesn't offer the same ground clearance as a traditional SUV or crossover, but the front end still easily clears parking blocks and other obstacles common in the urban jungle.”-motortrend

2017 Audi A4 allroad Wagon Final Verdict

Compared to the similarly priced crossovers, 2017 Audi A4 Allroad offers a better, entertaining driving experience. Unlike the Volvo V60, it is more of a driver’s car. The robust engine allows Audi A4 to excel in distinct environments and weather conditions.

Having light off-road capabilities is yet another pleasing experience. Though mileage offered by the Audi A4 lies in the middle of the spectrum, having ample cargo capacity is, of course, a selling point for the ride.
