There are three trim levels available for the 2017 Audi A7. The basic engine is a supercharged V6 with an 8-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission. Premium Plus is the entry-level variant, with a starting price of $68,800. 2017 Audi A7 Engine and Transmission

The 3.0L TFSI supercharged V6 engine of the Audi A7 is coupled to an 8-speed automated transmission. The engine produces 325 pound-feet of torque and 333 horsepower. The same engine is used in the Competition trim, but it is tweaked to produce 400 horsepower. A 4.0-liter turbocharged V8 engine is available in three configurations for the S7, RS7, and RS7 Performance versions.

The standard engine offers quick acceleration and plenty of power. The A7 comes with Audi's Drive Select option, which lets you choose between four different settings: Comfort, Auto, Dynamic, and Individual. The 2017 Audi A7 accelerates from 0-60 mph in just 5.2 seconds and completes the quarter-mile sprint in just 14.8 seconds. The top speed of the A7 is limited to 130 mph. The Quattro AWD system is standard on all trims giving Audi more grip.

Most of the time, the Audi A7's ride and handling are composed and relaxing. The car's large weight gives the impression that it is floating on the road, although it is always under the driver's control.
