The Audi S6 is propelled by a 2.9L twin-turbocharged V-6 engine. To build turbo boost more quickly for 2023, it has been upgraded with an electric-powered compressor that uses a small turbine, according to Audi, which they claim enhances the engine's responses. The potent engine generates a whooping 444 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque output and is mated with the eight-speed automatic transmission and Quattro AWD system. However, Audi claims that it can run 0 to 60 MPH in 4.4 seconds and reach a quarter mile in 12.5 seconds. Although the transmission also changes quickly and smoothly, it occasionally upshifts too soon. The S6 shows itself to be a charming partner on winding roads. With the optional rear-wheel steering system, it hides its girth and feels more agile than we expected.

The Audi S6 has an extremely powerful engine, outperforming the engines of Mercedes and Maserati. But, it is outperformed by the BMW M550i with a significantly larger engine generating 523 hp and 553 lb-ft of torque. It has the best 0 to 60 MPH timing of 3.6 seconds and can run a quarter mile in 11.8 seconds. Just four-tenths of a second slower than the BMW, Audi's smaller 2.9L engine propels it to a standing quarter-mile time of 12.5 seconds and can run 0 to 60 MPH in just 4.4 seconds. Mercedes-Benz AMG E53 with a top speed of 130 MPH can run 0-60 miles in 4.4 seconds and can reach a quarter mile in 12.6 seconds. The Italian sedan Maserati can run 0-60 miles in 4.5 seconds and reach a quarter mile in 13.3 seconds. It has nothing holding it back, allowing it to reach a top speed of 178 MPH, while the Audi S6 has a limiter that caps the top speed at 155 MPH.
2023 Audi S6 Sedan Ride and Handling
The Audi A6 is both a fun vehicle to drive on winding roads and a reliable travel companion. Although a little light, the steering is quick and precise, making it simple to control the S6 in confined spaces or down twisting backroads. Thanks to the available adaptive sport suspension, the ride is very smooth. Pavement is smoothed over by the S6 without feeling light or excessively soft. Even with its standard suspension, it maneuvers through turns with ease. A wheelbase of 115.3 inches makes the car quite stable, and it has a top speed of 156 MPH and a 0-60 time of under 4.0 seconds, making for an overall rapid driving experience. The braking reaction is not poor, and the braking power is also appropriate. The S6 performs better as a luxury vehicle than a sports sedan because of its comfortable ride. This car is a terrific overall package thanks to the perfect balance of optional equipment and practical performance.
2023 Audi S6 Sedan Braking Performance
The 2023 Audi S6 Sedan comes equipped with brake rotors measuring 15.8 and 13.8 inches at the front and rear. It is equipped with all of the braking systems as standard equipment, including automatic emergency braking, 6-piston front, and single-piston rear calipers, Electromechanical Parking brake, and Driveline Traction Control. The effectiveness of emergency braking is good. Although it's not at the top of the class, it's close. The S6's brakes have a strong pedal that is easy to operate and a fantastic sensation when driving about town. Coming to a gentle stop is simple.

In comparison, the Maserati Ghibli Modena comes equipped with a set of brake rotors measuring 14.2 and 13.6 inches at the front and rear and with its least curb weight of 4,123 lbs. Second, on the list after Audi is the Mercedes-Benz AMG E53 which comes with 14.6 and 14.2 inches at the front and rear having a curb weight of 4,341 lbs. However, measurements of the brake rotors for the BMW M550i are unavailable but it has a curb weight of 4,275 lbs. Although Audi S6 has the biggest set of brake rotors measuring 15.8 and 13.8 inches, although it has an excessive curb weight of 4,486 lbs can hinder its braking performance.
