For 2020, Bentley is seeking to take some spot with the new 2020 Bentley Bentayga Speed. This is the latest version, more powerful, and sporty. The Speed badge has been borrowed from the Continental GT, which Bentley coined for the first time in 2008. Just similar to the Continental GT Speed, the Bentayga Speed is an overhauled version of the regular Bentayga model. Some major improvements can be witnessed on the Bentayga speed while some standard features are also on offer.

2020 Bentley Bentayga Speed Interior

Bentley worked on the 6.0-liter W12 engine and came out with 626 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque, which is far better than the Bentayga's 600 horsepower and 663 pound-feet. It is capable of taking the 0-60 mph sprint in a claimed 3.9 seconds, while the regular model did the same in 4.1 seconds.

If Bentley’s claims are to be believed then the Bentayga Speed’s top speed stands at 190 mph. The number gets bigger up to 306 kmph, beating Lamborghini Urus’s 305 kmph record. This makes the Bentayga Speed the heir of the “World’s fastest production SUV” crown. However, the Urus has more power output than the Bentayga Speed. Using its small twin-turbo V-8 engine, the Urus propes 650 horses and 625 pound-feet. The Urus is also 530 pounds lighter, making it more dynamic in terms of overall performance.

Bentley has fitted massive carbon-ceramic brakes for better drag, available as an optional upgrade. There’s some major improvements in the suspension, exhaust, and transmission, overall giving it a sporty appeal.

The sales would likely commence later this year. There’s no word on the pricing yet. As the regular Bentley Bentayga is priced at $229,100, for 2017, the Bentayga Speed should come with a price tag of $260,000. At such price point, the Bentayga Speed becomes the most expensive SUV in the segment. Notedly, the Lamborghini Urus prices starts at $200,000 in the U.S.
