BMW, an eminent German automotive manufacturer, has recently launched a refined version of the 230i convertible, named as BMW 230i convertible (2018). The BMW launched its first 2 series convertible as a replacement for 1 series convertible. The car has undergone some minor changes each year. This year variant is a major facelift to the convertible as the time for LCI (life cycle impulse) was approaching. LCI is an approach adopted by BMW to spruce up a model midway through what tends to be a seven-year lifespan.

The all new facelifted 230i convertible (2018) comes with sharper looks, redesigned interiors, and improved performance and efficiency. The other major changes in exteriors include a revised front bumper, updated dashboard, speed sign detection, and bi-LED headlights and tail-lights.

Starting at a price of $40,750, The BMW 230i convertible comes in two variants, named as 230i convertible and 230i xDrive convertible. The 230i xDrive is the upper variant which offers all-wheel drive system, and costs approx $3-4k higher than the standard variant. The main competitors of BMW 230i are Audi A3 Cabriolet (Premium), Volkswagen Beetle Convertible, and Buick Cascada. BMW is the most expensive convertible among its competitors, and it offers a more powerful engine to justify its price.

Features

As discussed above, The BMW 230i convertible comes in two variants, named as BMW 230i Convertible and230i xDrive Convertible. The main highlights of the facelifted 230i convertible are 10- way power front sport seats, Driver memory for exterior mirror and seat positions, and five links fully independent rear suspension. It also features rain-sensing windshield wipers with adjustable speed and automatic headlight control on the board.

The 230i xDrive Convertible is equipped with all the standard features of the base variant 230i convertible. The major update in the BMW 230i xDrive is the addition of an all-wheel-drive system which makes the upper variant more premium and sporty. The upper variant can withstand uneven road conditions in a better manner than the base trim.

We Recommend

In our views, BMW 230i xDrive is definitely a better option than the base trim, as it comes with more power and usability. For a complete experience of a convertible, we suggest going for xDrive trim.

You have spend extra $623 for these functions.
