The Panamera is quickest from the start line because of the immense horsepower it makes while the other two stay beside each other.

Ride and Handling

As with every one of the 7-series models, the hybrid rides extremely well, offering supple comfort amid cruising. Air suspension and selectable drive mode's are standard for the 740e xDrive iperformance. In any case, when pushed on twisty streets, it is evident that the 740e comes up short to its gasoline kin, a consequence of the substantial lithium-ion-voltage battery. At the push of a button, the versatile suspension solidifies to offer sheer amount of help and athleticism that give a false representation of the sheer size of the 740e iPerformance .Add to this a motor that sounds strained regardless of whether it isn't and the auto just feels unexcited about driving rapidly.

BMW has lost their edge in making including driver's focused car, and the 7 Series is the most recent victim. The performance is there from the hybrid drivetrain, but the feel isn't. The electronically power-assisted steering system offers ample weighting in various modes, but overall lacks feel and feedback. The front end feels blunted, and though adept, this is just a luxury sedan and nothing more.

Braking

The brakes are solid, however, they feel somewhat elastic, and BMW presently can't seem to completely ace the progress among regenerative and rubbing braking. The stopping distance from 60 mph to standstill is average. Pedal travel is small and the response is immediate.

2017 BMW 7 Series plug-in hybrid Sedan Fuel Economy

7.0/10

The 7 series sedan will be able to travel 18 miles (30 km) on all-electric mode before the four-cylinder petrol engine kicks in. It is able to return 21 MPG in the city and 29 MPG on the highway stretches. If you opt for the V8 engine than the economy will drastically go downwards and adding a rear wheel drive option will increase the MPG, give or take relationship.

2017 BMW 7 Series plug-in hybrid Sedan Interior

10/10

Build quality is top-notch and refined, with high-quality materials throughout. There's incredible interior space, and the extra-long doors make it easy to get in and out of this big sedan. Controls are easy to locate and use, and the iDrive technology interface continues to improve."-- Edmunds

Seating and Comfort

Riding in the 740e resembles driving around on a cozy couch its roomy, calm, and the seats are super comfy. The cabin and its styling feel deserve the $100,000 sticker price. Variety of inlays such as wood and aluminum adorn the surfaces, with a definitive lack of harsh plastics and the seats, are huge and delicate yet at the same time sturdy enough to embrace your sides on tight corners. The rear seats are the place the 740e gets great imprints for solace. The equivalent delicate, comfortable leather seats and 44.4 inches of legroom, it's without a doubt more comfortable to ride in than to drive.

Hybrid or not it is still a BMW from inside. The cabin is bright and manages gigantic measures of legroom and headroom for all inhabitants. Both front and rear passengers have sunroofs overhead, and those sufficiently lazy to not close the doors totally will be happy to realize that power shutting option are standard.

Cargo/Trunk volume

The demerit of adding hybrid technology is that the battery pack eats up the trunk space and reduces it from around 18 cubic feet in a regular model to approximately 15 feet's.07 series offers ample cargo space for your luggage. There are clever spaces to store articles inside.

2017 BMW 7 Series plug-in hybrid Sedan Exterior

8.5/10

The 2018 BMW 7-Series' looks can range from nerdy to butch, but all trims are closer to elegant than most anything else on the road. - car connection

The exterior of the entire 7 Series is plain and purposeful, it blends classic BMW styling cues into a wonderfully proportioned shape. Just some minor eDrive identifications, "I" logos, and "I blue" complement subtle elements, alongside high-spoke 20-inch wheels help recognize the battery-fueled rendition from the standard gas version.

The quad headlights, twin kidney grilles, Hofmeister kink the kickup at the base of the rearmost rooftop column and that precisely designed rear with twin exhaust pipes consolidates for a look that could have come just from the Bavarian factory.

Among the extra-long cars covered here, the 7-series is the longest by a hair. That length pays dividends for rear-seat room and the car's attractiveness. That said, there's nothing truly offensive about the way the 740e looks, it's just that it doesn't stand out. Rivals like the Mercedes Benz S class and the Panamera have more going on in terms of styling uniqueness.

BMW 7 series Hybrid Vs Panamera E hybrid

With an electrically assisted 456bhp, Porsche-designed twin-turbo 2.9-liter V6, the 0-62mph time has been cut back from a brisk 5.5sec to a properly quick 4.6sec coupled with stellar fuel economy. It looks a hatchback from the rear and front is very Porsche with a spacious cabin. The Panamera is way ahead in terms of power delivery and styling than the bimmer. The Stuttgart horse also comes with high levels of quality.

BMW 7 series Vs Mercedes Benz E hybrid

The S500 Plug-in Hybrid sports a twin-turbocharged V-6 paired with an electric motor offer an all-electric range of around 20 miles, while the combined fuel economy should sit at around 80 mpg. Inside you get the same luxurious interior, with plush leather seats. The Mercedes Benz is a limousine you can buy with your head and heart. In terms of performance and styling, both cars fight neck to neck with each other and the choice is left to the individuals.

2017 BMW 7 Series plug-in hybrid Sedan Final Verdict

The first ever four-banger in a 7 series is no longer the driver's choice of the large luxury sedan for the American market. The 740e performance plug-in hybrid, it's a technological tour de force that pioneers future technologies in a car available today. Though it may not be as appealing as rivals like the Panamera E Hybrid at first glance, it makes up for it with class-topping tech, and a powerful, efficient hybrid s
