Detailed Review

The brand BMW reminds you of some ultra luxurious sedans like the 7 series and the 5 series or of some muscular SUVs like the X5 and the X3. To diversify its product range and give buyers more options, BMW decided to set up a new micro segment of cars and came up with the 2 series. But the micro tag doesn't necessarily mean that the cars in the segment need to be micro on the performance front. The BMW M240i is cute little coupe only the outside and is a complete beast on the inside.

Go for the base trim level. At $44450, the M240i is a great value for money and paying $4000 extra only for the all-wheel-drive system makes no sense at all.

2017 BMW M240i Final Verdict

BMW loves to fit powerful engines in small cars and this is not the first time we are witnessing it. The M240i has a punchy engine coupled to buttery smooth gearbox. The throttle responses are instant and the exhaust note is grumpy. The M240i handles really well and maneuvers swiftly. The material quality and the overall fit and finish is really great and the car is packed with features. The M240i also scores big on the safety front.

The only downside of the car is that its design is pretty much uninspiring and BMW designers could have done something better than this. But looks aren' t always a priority.
