BMW has been one of the strongest brands that never needed to change the way they make cars. Folks loved the way the German automaker made vehicles for them, suiting daily commutes or track performance. With the M3 already on the sales charts, a new M4 model has been introduced by the company, which is far more capable than the former. The 2015 BMW M4 is the best-in-class performer and an absolute track monster to sit within and race through the tracks.

The 2015 BMW M4 is offered as a single trim with plenty of features and performance specs. However, one shall go for different optional packages at extra cost to improve the functionality of their M4.

2015 BMW M4 Engine and Performance

9.0/10

The 2015 BMW M4 is equipped with a twin turbocharged 3.0L Inline-6 engine that churns out a massive 425 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque and is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission that powers the rear wheels. The massive torque is produced at a lower RPM, which makes it athletic especially during acceleration. The engine with the powerful drivetrain sprints to 60 MPH at the glimpse for 3.7 seconds from a perfect standstill, which is the best offer you shall get from the class. The coupe completes its quarter-mile run in just 12 seconds.

The Lexus RC F is the cheapest and at the same time the most powerful in the competition. With a massive 5L V8, the engine seems to be very capable. However, the torquey bimmer gets the best acceleration figures proved by the 0-60 MPH timings, and the way the consistency of the performance is maintained, through the quarter-mile timings. Though Cadillac ATS-V is powerful and more torquey than the bimmer, it stands second in terms of the acceleration figures.

2015 BMW M4 Fuel Economy

8.0/10

An M vehicle may not always be the cup of tea for buyers looking for efficiency. However, the 2015 BMW M4 isn’t the thirstiest in the competition. M4 gets an EPA-rated efficiency figure of 17 MPG in the city, 26 MPG on highways, totaling a combined mileage of 20 MPG. The fuel tank has just a 15.9-gallon capacity, which significantly drops the range figures.

The M4 is fuel-efficient when compared to the RC F or the ATS-V. The Porsche 718 Cayman GTS is the best in terms of efficiency followed by the M4. With the smallest fuel tank capacity in the competition, it gets poor range figures, which means you’ll have to have frequent visits to the gas station.

2015 BMW M4 Interior

8.0/10

The 2015 BMW M4 comes with a similar interior to that of a regular 4-Series. Packed with a long list of features within, the cabin feels rich and premium. The cabin is spacious enough and built well in every detail. The heated front seats get two-way power adjustability with power seat back side bolster support and power rear seat easy entry.

The rear seats get 40/20/40 folding bench functionality. Driver Seat and Door Mirrors get memory settings as well. The Sport Leather steering wheel gets manual tilt/telescopic adjustment along with controls mounted on it, including the cruise control.

The cabin is kept fresh with the dual-zone front automatic air conditioning and an activated charcoal air filter. Day/night auto-dimming rearview mirror, driver and passenger visor vanity mirrors with illumination, map lights, fade-to-off interior lighting are all some of the few feel-good features within the M4.

2015 BMW M4 Exterior

8.0/10

Looking at the exterior, the 2015 BMW M4 is more or less a typical 4-Series vehicle but gets the M-badging everywhere. The M badging is clearly indicative of what the vehicle is made for or how capable it would behave on the racing tracks. The 18” wheels with silver accents look stunning from the side. The rear windows are fixed and get equipped with a defroster. You’ll get to see body-colored power auto-dimming side mirrors, with manual-folding, heating facility, and turn signal indicator.

The front windshield gets a sun visor strip and speed-sensitive rain detecting variable intermittent wipers with heated jets. The fully automatic projector-beam daytime running lights and auto-leveling directionally adaptive headlamps make up the front profile. Doubtlessly, the M4 is a well-proportioned crowd-puller, and stands out in beauty and style.

2015 BMW M4 Safety

8.0/10

The 2015 BMW M4 is yet another crafted piece of engineering from the trusted German manufacturer. The company has maintained its reputation by remaining uncompromised safety features. Being an expensive buy, neither NHTSA nor the IIHS rates these cars.

However, the features in the BMW M4 include the post-collision safety system, well-equipped airbag system, RSC, and Traction Control, and the BMW Assist eCall Emergency SOS. The structurally safe and well-built bimmer would surely withstand any worst collisions on roads, letting you be utterly safe inside the cabin. 2015 BMW M4 Final Verdict

The 2015 BMW M4 is one of the best offerings in the class, which easily outshines the rivals in every sense. The coupe is trustworthy, and feature-loaded with everything that an owner shall demand. The stylish and iconic exterior complements well with the neatly laid interiors with plenty of things to ponder upon. Though the rivals are all well-equipped, they fail in front of the M-badged 4 Series performance monster in one way or the other.
