As standard, you get Merino leather upholstery for the seats while the dash features Nappa leather upholstery. You also get a heated M Sport leather steering wheel and a leather gear shifter. But if you decide to spend an additional $3,500, you will be presented with a mix of Alcantara and Merino leather for the whole interior of the 2022 M8. The M8 gets sports front seats with 18-way power adjustability and 4-way power lumbar. Not only are the seats heated, but they are also ventilated. Visibility is flawless upfront, but as you might have suspected, it is a little difficult out the back. While the M8 interior does technically have backseats, they are not at all practical. That shouldn’t come as a surprise looking at the body style. The extremely low headroom and legroom only allow kids to be seated at the back. However, you can use the rear seats as a makeshift storage compartment. At the front, though, even the tallest of individuals would share no complaints.

The interior of the 2022 BMW M8 sports a large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment display at the center of the dashboard. It runs on BMW’s iDrive 7.0 system. In terms of cargo capacity, the BMW 2022 M8 coupe is mediocre at best; but when compared to its closest rivals, it is a fair bit practical. The 2022 M8 sports coupe features a trunk capacity of 14.8 cubic feet which should be enough for a week’s worth of groceries, a weekend getaway for two people, or even a trip to the golf course.

The rear seats can also be used as storage for keeping items in place since it's not the most comfortable place for passengers anyway. Or, you could also fold the rear seats in a 50/50-split to make space for storing longer items in the trunk.

Nonetheless, the M8 still gets the best standard cargo capacity, while the F-Type cargo space is also pretty competitive. Both the R8 and 911 are best suited to get groceries for the week or can accommodate luggage for a small road trip.

On the inside, you will find some very basic storage solutions, such as a center console armrest storage, a small glovebox, small door pockets, and cupholders. The front cup holders get a neat push-to-open lid that adds to the premium appeal of the cabin. None of these cubbies are deep or large enough, so you will be restricted to only storing smaller items in the 2022 M8 interior.
