We Recommend

If you are making up your mind to get the 2015 X6, the xDrive50i is the one you should go for. The 50i comes equipped with a 4.4L Twin-turbo V8 compared to the 35i’s 3L turbocharged I6 engine. The 4.4L Twin-turbo V8 produces a mind-blowing power that makes it a mammoth in the SUV segment.

Apart from the engine, there are a generous amount of added features and a wide range of optional features that you can choose to further decorate your X6. We also recommend the Cold Weather and Driver Assistance Plus package as it will increase the functionality, comfort, and safety, making the car more preferable and enjoyable to the driver.

2015 BMW X6 Engine and Performance

6.0/10

As mentioned before, the 2015 X6 comes with a couple of engines that are fitted in the various trims on offer. The 35i comes fitted with a 3L turbocharged inline-6 engine coupled with 8-speed automatic transmission. This duo generates an impressive 300 horsepower and 295lb-ft of torque. The 35i is capable of reaching 60 mph from rest in just 5.7 seconds and can cover a quarter-mile in14.3 seconds.

The 50i comes fitted with a 4.4L Twin-turbo V8 engine that produces 445 horsepower and 479 lb-ft torque. Both of the engines feel smooth, calm, composed, and engaging. The capable engines offer the SUV with admirable power and push, making it effortless to perform any task at any given time, anywhere. The 35i can be had in either RWD or AWD config. While the RWD boasts a sportier behavior, the AWD has excellent off-road talents.

2015 BMW X6 Interior

7.0/10

The interior of the 2015 X6 is blessed and bestowed with good craftsmanship skills and attention to minute details. The 2015 MY comes glued with a cabin that is an emulation of practicality and appeal. The cabin can seat 5 passengers and is composed of premium soft-touch materials, and leather upholsteries complimented by Cognac and Fine Line Strip Fine Wood. The seats are wide, supportive, cushioned well, and placed upright so that the driver can have a commanding control with a wide view of the road. The front seats provide adequate head and leg space for the passengers, while there is a different story at the back.

The seats, though being good and cozy, the uncomforting atmosphere is far-reaching due to the cramped headspace. It feels tight and can become concerning for tall adults. The X6 offers a generous 26.6 cubic feet of cargo space which is the best in the segment. Additionally, the rear seats can be folded to increase it to 59.7 cubic feet.
