2022 Buick Encore VS 2021 Mazda CX-3
The Encore looks and appears voluminous, while the Mazda CX-3 looks slimmer and elegant. However, The Encore benefits from its optional AWD, which can really provide a fun-to-drive experience and great off-road skills, while the CX-3 is FWD only. Although the power figures for its 1.4L engine look lethargic, it certainly beats the CX-3 in terms of output.
The engineers have definitely done an excellent job in terms of space management, even though both cars are nearly equal in size, but both cabin and cargo space in Encore are greater. But, an award of ‘Top Safety Pick+’ is a plus point for CX-3.
2022 Buick Encore VS 2021 Honda HR-V
With its modern design language, the Encore feels a step ahead. The CVT in Honda HR-V is lethargic, however, it has its own fuel-efficiency advantages, whereas the 6-speed shiftable transmission in Encore provides the fun-to-drive experience.
The Buick might be a good off-roader with its AWD configuration. Encore’s ground clearance is almost an inch lower than the HR-V. As far as the interior is concerned, it will be a strong winner, but HR-V is much better with regard to cargo space. Both cars have an overall safety rating of five stars, showing their robustness.
2022 Buick Encore VS 2022 Hyundai Kona
The performance of both doesn’t make much difference but with a new engine in Encore, better performance can be expected. Kona's wide side body cover really improves its crossover appearance while the Encore wraps are sleek and elegant. Encore's interior feels more premium because of the maximum usage of soft-touch elements while Kona feels cheaper with all hard plastics.
However, both the cars got equal safety ratings by NHTSA and IIHS, but the rollover risk in Kona is significantly lower than that of Encore, which makes the former much more dynamically stable. There is a price gap of almost $5000 but that is negligible with Encore looking at its advanced features on offer.
