The 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer will be a carryover model of the popular mid-size SUV that was completely redesigned in 2021. The SUV recently added premium features and a new stylized design. The 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer price is yet to be announced, however, we accept the prices to remain similar to the previous model as no changes are made to the vehicle.

You get two different engine options to choose from with a bigger 1.3L Turbo block that is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission and delivers around 155 hp while the smaller 1.2L three-cylinder engine makes out 137 hp. The subcompact crossover offers an attractive base price tag and multiple trims to choose from. The design approach will be similar to the redesigned 2021 models.

Expert Review, Pricing Analysis and Buying Guide

The exterior of the car gets a rugged look along with a sporty touch. Few key highlights are the raked windshield that leads to a rugged bumper, LED headlights, massive 16-inch steel alloy wheels, and an eye-catching front grille. Chevrolet has tried to blend robust performance and utmost comfort with its striking interior space.

The cabin hosts a seating layout of five with leather-wrapped seats and an updated infotainment system. Easy accessibility throughout the cabin along with creature comforts. Advanced safety systems and driver aids are included to offer true value for money. Overall reliability of the car is one of the best-in-class. Impressive safety ratings and a comprehensive warranty package add trust and value for money.

2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer Features

The 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer will also offer five different trim configurations, the base price for the L trim is $19,995. This looks like quite an affordable deal, however, the base L trim is short on equipment and features. The mid-trim LT trim, priced at $23,700 for the FWD variant and $25,700 for the AWD variant, gets an impressive list of features like 17-inch alloy wheels, 6-speaker audio system, heated and power-adjustable seats, manual liftgate, and other useful features.

The 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer will also have optional upgrades packages, like the Driver Confidence Package that costs $345, Sun and Liftgate Package that costs $1,770, Convenience Package that costs $620, and a Premium Seating Package for $845. You also get adaptive cruise control as an optional extra. Advanced safety features like automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-keeping assist, and the lane-departure warning comes in as standard.

We Recommend:

The 2022 Chevy Trailblazer is a carryover version of the previous model and we recommend you go with any of the mid-trim options as the base trims are not equipped very well and lack many useful features while the top trim sounds expensive for the features offered. Furthermore, we'd also suggest you put in the extra $2,000 and get the optional 1.3L turbocharged motor.

Price:

As the latest 2022 model will feature similar amenities and powertrain, there is a low price difference from the 2021 version. The starting price for the 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer is expected to be around $19,995 and goes to $27,995 for the 1.3L Turbo engine option. Optional packages for a more intuitive infotainment setup can be availed.

Release Date:

GM has not officially declared the release date of the 2022 Chevy Trailblazer. We are expecting the latest 2022 line-up to hit the dealerships by the end of 2021. Full-phase production will start in the mid of 2021.

2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer Engine and Performance

One of the most prominent features of the Trailblazer is its upbeat powertrain. The powertrain features two engine options, a smaller 1.2L inline-3 to keep the base price attractive and a more powerful 1.3L Turbocharged engine equipped in the RS trim. The bigger block generates class-leading power numbers. Coupled with the reputed CVT transmission system, maximum drive efficiency can be expected.

Sensational acceleration capability is showcased by the crossover with athletic control and impressive dynamic stability. Let the numbers speak for themselves! The 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer is expected to cover a 0-60 MPH cover in 9.3 seconds with the base 1.2L block. We can expect the car to cover the same in 8.5 seconds with the powerful 1.3L Turbo engine underneath.

Competitors like Kia Seltos and Honda HR-V also deliver exhilarating acceleration and athletic handling. The Seltos can clock the 0-60 MPH sprint in 7.5 seconds while the HR-V takes around 7.6 seconds. The most impressive aspect about the Trailblazer is its balanced power and handling.

In terms of price competition, the Chevrolet Trailblazer is more affordable than its peers.
