In true truck segment fashion, the Ford F-250 Super Duty Crew Cab is the ultimate full-size truck that truly stands out. The Ford F-Series truck line began with the F-1 pickup in 1948 as the first generation of trucks in the series. Since then, Ford has sold over 30 million trucks in the U.S., making up nearly 25% of all light trucks sold here. In fact, there are more F-Series trucks on the road today than every other truck brand combined.

We recommend

In the pickup truck segment, recommending a particular trim would not be appropriate as it may not satisfy everyone's needs. In light of the fact that there are 20 odd combinations of 2022 Ford Super Duty Crew Cabs to choose from, you may want to consider what works best for you and your job. The Lariat trim is great for people looking for a truck to haul heavy loads while also becoming a daily driver at the same time, as it has all-wheel drive as standard as well as an updated infotainment system.

Release date

Ford hasn't revealed the exact launch date, but the order banks for the 2022 Super Duty opened up back in March 15th, with production expected to begin as soon as July 9th, 2021 at the Kentucky Truck Plant and July 22nd, 2021 at the Ohio Assembly Plant.

2022 Ford F-250 SuperDuty Crew Cab Engine and Performance

The 2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty Crew Cab lineup will be powered by the same powertrain options as in the outgoing model. The base F-250 Super Duty's engine is a 6.2-liter V8, producing 385 horsepower and 430 pounds-feet of torque, paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission. Additionally, two alternative engines are available. A 7.3-liter gasoline V8 generates 430 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque while a turbocharged 6.7-liter diesel V8 makes 450 horsepower and a stunning 1,050 lb-ft of torque. Both engines are mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission.

2022 Ford F-250 SuperDuty Crew Cab Engine Bay

The 2022 Ford F-250 Crew Cab is able to reach 60 in 8.5 seconds and go a quarter-mile in 18.1 seconds. Although the engine is bigger and the performance figures are the best in its class. Even so, the number is still impressive considering the vehicle weighs 6000 pounds.

Ford's base V8 engine in the 2022 F-250 Super Duty is not the most powerful of the bunch, as the RAM 2500 outperforms it with its 6.4 Liter V8 and 410 horsepower. A 6.6-liter V8 engine powers both the GMC and Chevrolet, which makes the Ford the least powerful of the three. While Ford's other two engine options are more powerful than those offered by competitors.

2022 Ford F-250 SuperDuty Crew Cab Interior

The interior of the 2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty Crew Cab is minimal and is more practical than before. Although, on the comfort and luxury note, the F-250 Super Duty definitely falls short when compared to a normal car in the same price range. The Ford F-250 Super Duty will not let the occupants down, although it isn't among the best in its segment. Base XL trim with vinyl upholstery is the starting point, which leads to the fully spaced Limited trim with a two-tone leather interior as the top-of-the-line option.

2022 Ford F-250 SuperDuty Crew Cab Dashboard

With a total of six trim options available, you can select the level of comfort, luxury, and features you want. There is nothing remarkable about the Ford F-250's seats in terms of comfort. Your choice of trim will determine the quality of materials on the front seats. There is ample seating room in the front of the cabin, but the legroom in the rear is limited. Storage space is plentiful throughout the entire range. The center console is large, and the Crew Cab has an under-seat storage compartment that can be locked.

2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty Crew Cab vs 2021 RAM 2500

A lot of RAM 2500's advantages far exceed those of the Ford. Compared to Ford, RAM is significantly better in terms of both performance and interior space.

2021 RAM 2500

The F-250 Super Duty, however, is more practical, and in 2022, it will feature an updated infotainment system and some new safety features that will make it more appealing than ever before.

2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty Crew Cab vs the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 2500

In comparison to the Silverado, the F-250 provides a greater amount of cargo space and better braking performance.

2021 Chevrolet Silverado 2500

There is no concrete answer to this question, however we would say that your choice purely depends on your discretion. A Silverado with its strong fuel economy and quick performance is the best pick, while the F-250's comfort and space will be your top choice.

2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty Crew Cab vs the 2021 GMC Sierra 2500
