As it’s irrefutable to deny the exotic flair in GT’s exterior styling, it’s nigh on impossible to not get impressed with the interiors as well. Sitting in a GT would give you the feeling of being in a jet plane, although you might not know what it feels like to be in one. The layout is very simplistic, functional, and track-inspired. Carbon-fiber elements can be seen spread out widely in the GT cabin. The carbon-fiber Sparco seats might disguise you feeling not as much bucketed as you might expect of a supercar, but on tracks, it holds onto you perfectly providing decent support while cornering. The hexagonal-shaped steering wheel has bagged mixed kinds of reviews from our team, feeling comfortable to some and odd-gripped to others.
Getting inside is slightly challenging due to the swing-up gullwing doors along with the high and wide door sill. But once tucked in seats, things get pretty easy. The seats are fixed in position but the carbon fiber pedal box and carbon fiber steering wheel provide back and forth adjustments with ample range to put one in a convenient driving position. The steering wheel gets the tilt and telescoping features as additional extras. Speaking of space, you can fit two but they will sit very closely. It definitely lacks the interior cubbies and you will barely find any space that collectively fits your wallet and cell phone. Also, the boot space of 0.4cu-ft is very lackluster and much behind in comparison with competitors.

All the coupes amongst GT’s rivals have seating for up to two, except for the DBS Superleggera which comes with a seating configuration for up to four people. The Ford GT and McLaren 720s interiors lie on the same plane when it comes to interior appointments. The Lamborghini Aventador is out and out a flashy player in the interiors, but its utilitarianism factor is restricted like the other two. Aston Martin DBS Superleggera takes the interior game to a whole new level owing to more space, utility, comfort creatures, and MB-inspired technology. Yet, some interesting features that GT interiors boast upon include-
- Matte carbon fiber cabin
- Carbon fiber Sparco seats with Alcantara upholstery
- Fixed seats with back & forth adjustable pedal box
- Tilt and telescoping steering column
- Racing-inspired carbon fiber hexagonal steering wheel
- Active noise cancellation system
- Intelligent access with push-button start

How intuitive is the car’s infotainment unit?
The Ford GT has a 6.5-inch center touchscreen display stacked in the dash. It gets paired with the Ford SYNC 3 interface which is glitch-free and easy to use. The voice controls also function effectively so that you don’t need to play with the touchscreen while zooming off the GT. It gets packed with features like Apple Carplay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, navigation system, SiriusXM satellite radio, and USB ports that help you stay connected and charged.
In order to stay updated with the vital figures and race-oriented stuff while driving, Ford GT incorporates a 10-inch color LCD instrument display that can be easily configured using the well-laid-out steering wheel controls. The sharp and clear LCD screen of the digital cluster offers good visibility as well. The metal knobs that control some functions like wipers and driving modes are pleasingly tactile. Some highlight features of the infotainment systems include-
- 10-inch configurable digital instrument cluster
- 6.5-inch touchscreen
- SYNC 3 interface
- Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
- Navigation with voice control
- Rearview camera
