The 2022 Ford Mustang Mach-E is an electric SUV that blends popular Mustang styling with impressive electric range and performance without sacrificing practicality. Pricing for the 2022 Mustang Mach-E starts at $42,895 for the Select rear-wheel-drive model while the top-range GT Performance Edition costs $64,995. There are minor changes to the 2022 Mach-E lineup. With the most driving range of 305 miles, the California Route 1 now gains standard heated front seats and steering wheel, and optional AWD. Amping up the styling, Ford offers a new Ice White Appearance Package with the Premium trim level and some new exterior paint colors options. The most notable change is increased battery capacity. The standard battery pack now boasts 70.0 kWh from 68.0 kWh, while the available extended range increases from 88.0 to 91.0 kWh.

Inside, Mustang Mach-E is a practical crossover SUV with a spacious and tech-laden interior. This all-electric Ford crossover lives up to the expectation with a blistering performance, especially in the GT models clocks a 3.5 seconds 0-60 mph time. The 2022 Mustang Mach-E also has an impressive electric range which goes from 211 miles for the standard range AWD model up to 305 miles for the RWD California Route 1 model. Among the long list of technology features, the most enticing is the new BlueCruise driving system. The Mustang Mach-E is a direct rival to Volkswagen ID.4 and the pricier Tesla Model Y.

Expert Review, Pricing Analysis and Buying Guide

We didn't know what to expect when we heard Ford was cooking up an electric Mustang SUV, but we're certainly glad it exists - Edmunds

The Ford Mustang Mach-e will come to no significant changes for the 2022 model year as it was just launched last year. The 2022 Ford Mustang Mach-e will continue to offer the same trim levels, except for the first edition, and will come with an Ice White Edition appearance package on the Premium model. Apart from that, it will continue to be the same car with more features and options.

Getting updated battery packs should also increase the range for the 2022 Mustang Mach E - going from  68 to 70.0 kWh for the standard model, while the optional extended range pack increases from 88.0 to 91.0 kWh. The power goes to either the rear wheels or the optional AWD system. The interior will feature a power-adjustable driver's seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a 15.5-inch touchscreen that comes with Sync 4A and navigation and wireless charging as standard. Safety features will include advanced driver aids of Ford CoPilot360 2.0 and Ford CoPilot360 Assist 2.0.

Buying Advice

Priced at an MSRP of $48,000, the Ford Mustang Mach-e Premium trim is the one we recommend buying, we would also recommend getting the extended range battery pack ($5,000) in the RWD configuration giving it 300 miles of range and 290 hp, along with comfort features like dual-zone automatic climate control, heated 8-way power-adjustable front row seats, perforated ActiveX upholstery, and even interior ambient lighting.

Features

Pricing for the 2022 Ford Mustang Mach-E sees minor adjustments, which now starts at an MSRP of $42,895 for the base Select rear-wheel-drive (RWD) model and goes up to $64,995 for the GT Performance Edition. The mid-range California Route 1 begins from $50,775 with the RWD, while the more luxurious Premium trim costs $48,100. Differentiating the California Route 1 and Premium trim is that the former comes standard with the extended range battery pack. Available on Premium as well, the extended range battery pack costs an extra $5,000. The performance-oriented GT starts at $59,995, and for the GT Performance Edition, you will have to shell out an additional $5,000.

The trims vary in terms of battery capacity and also drivetrain capacities. Standard features seen on all trim levels include 18-inch wheels, LED headlamps, LED tail lights, rotary gear shift dial, intelligent access with push-button start, rain-sensing wipers, SYNC 4A system, a 15.5-inch touchscreen, and a 10.5-inch digital cluster.
