The Honda HR-V is a subcompact crossover utility vehicle and the brand slotted it below the CR-V. The vehicle is aimed at those who want an SUV but also expects a more affordable price tag and easy maneuverability within the city limits. The HR-V was launched back in 1998, making it a fairly old entrant in the segment. It was discontinued in 2006 only to be relaunched in 2013 as a second-generation model.

The 2022 MY of the vehicle will see no changes but it is expected that Honda will give the SUV a complete redesign for the 2023 MY. The 2022 model will continue with the same 1.8-liter naturally aspirated I-4 motor that generates a maximum of 141 horsepower and 127 lb-ft of torque. The HR-V will be offered in four trim levels which are LX priced at $22,645, Sport priced at $24,595, EX priced at $25,845, and EX-L priced at $27,445.
