In 1994, Honda decided to venture into the minivan market and came up with the Odyssey. Initially, it was built on the Accord's platform and came standard with a four-pot motor. Gradually, the van started to use a V6 for improved performance and better overall driving experience from the second generation onwards. It also found its way into New York's taxi fleet for its overall better package as compared to the Ford Crown Victoria and the Chevrolet Caprice.

The Odyssey received a major facelift in the 2021 MY hence the 2022 MY van will bring no changes. Under the hood, the van uses a 3.5-liter V6 that puts out 280 horsepower and 292 lb0ft of torque. The van will come with five trim levels that start with the LX trim priced at $33,515. The EX trim is priced at $36,915, EX-L is priced at $40,185, Touring is priced at $44,225, and the Elite is priced at $49,245.
