The dashboard also gets some neatly placed metal trim inserts as well as an impressive infotainment screen which hosts a plethora of features. The design layout inside might not be tasteful for many, but Honda certainly has ensured that the comfort quotient is on point. Although the 2022 Pilot’s cabin dimensions are smaller than that of its rivals on paper, it doesn’t really feel less spacious. There’s enough space for the front row occupants but the second and third-row space could have been improved for sure. The Kia Telluride and Hyundai Palisade being platform siblings have similar dimensions on the inside while the Chevy Traverse proves to be the most accommodating as far as third-row space is concerned.

As standard, it comes equipped with a 8-inch touchscreen display in the center of the dashboard. 2022 Honda Pilot Cargo Capacity

Unlike its rivals, the 2022 Honda Pilot doesn’t have a lot of cargo space on offer to boast around. The standard cargo capacity is just 16.5 cu-ft. while the maximum cargo capacity seems to be 83.8 cu-ft. Not that these numbers are bad, but it certainly could have had a few extra cu-ft. of space to compete shoulder to shoulder with its rivals.

The 2022 Chevrolet Traverse has quite a remarkable cargo space with its maximum capacity almost being 100 cu-ft. The other SUVs like the Kia Telluride and Hyundai Palisade have comparatively lesser space for cargo as opposed to the Traverse, but enough for a family to pack things for their vacation.

The 2022 Honda Pilot isn’t the sharpest SUV in its segment, nor is it the most spacious, but Honda has put in a lot of effort. It goes above and beyond what the average Pilot owner may need and they have really done a good job of providing you. You do get some premium creature comforts in higher trims as well as a large number of small storage spaces. Thus makes the 2022 Pilot one of the most practical options in the three-row SUV segment.
