As the whole automotive industry saw a shift in transitioning towards making SUVs, Lamborghini had to step up and show the world an interpretation of what a modern-day Lamborghini SUV would look like. And Lamborghini was sure that the Urus would bring success to the brand like never before. And today, the company seems to be quite proud of their decision with the Urus as not only did it become an instant hit, it surpassed the Gallardo and Huracan to become the best-selling Lambo ever.

2022 Lamborghini Urus Dashboard

Owning a practical SUV that screams Lambo is every enthusiast's dream come true. The 2022 Lamborghini Urus comes in three trim options now with its prices starting from $225,500 before options. It competes with the likes of 2022 Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT, 2022 Audi RS Q8, and 2022 Aston Martin DBX.

2022 Lamborghini Urus Interior Design, Dimensions, and Comfort

The Lamborghini Urus’ cabin is all about drama, flamboyance, and design cues picked straight from fighter jets. The Urus’ cabin has an appeal like no other SUV that exists today. From the HVAC vents to the seats, everything seems to have a hexagonal design cue which is one of the major design quirks. While the panoramic sunroof and ambient lighting add to the aesthetics, it is the dashboard that truly stands out. The screens resemble the ones that you see in fighter cockpits while the mode select and reverse drive select levers resemble the throttle controllers of jets. The entire cabin is decked with exquisite materials that include an Alcantara headliner, Unicolore premium leather upholstery on the seats and dashboard, aluminum as well as carbon fiber trim inserts, and more. In other words, nothing can get as extravagant and dramatic as the Urus!

2022 Lamborghini Urus Rear Seats

The red cap over the start/stop button is another gimmick inside the Urus’ cabin that announces loudly that it is no ordinary SUV. The front seats are arguably some of the most comfortable yet sportier seats in the segment. With hexagonal stitching all over as well as Unicolore leather seat upholstery, the 12-way power-adjustable seats prove to be as exquisite. You also get a heating and ventilation function as well. Moreover, you would mostly find yourself scratching your head looking at the never-ending list of customization options.

The second-row seats, though they seem to accommodate three passengers, prove more comfortable for two.

As far as cabin space and comfort are concerned, the Aston Martin DBX proves to be more ideal. Urus and the Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT Coupe prove to be the most dynamic. The Audi RS Q8 on the other hand would be a perfect choice for people seeking performance and tech rich interior at a lower price tag compared to the rest.

2022 Lamborghini Urus Infotainment

The 2022 Lamborghini Urus interior resembles a modern-day cockpit inside a fighter jet with its multiple screens and quirky controls. There are a total of three screens present inside- an intuitive digital driver’s display, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment display unit, as well as a smaller 8.6-inch configurable touchscreen display for climate, audio, and seat ventilation controls. It is quite easy to use and the UI has a touch of Lamborghini’s edgy design language. Connectivity features onboard include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, as well as a 4G WiFi hotspot.

2022 Lamborghini Urus Infotainment System

The Urus strives to excite your auditory senses with its powerful exhaust note, as well as with the impressive audio systems that come along with it. The standard audio system on offer is a Sensonum premium surround sound system and if you need a better theatrical experience, nothing comes close to the optional 1700-watt Bang & Olufsen surround sound system with 21 speakers as well as 3D sound technology.

2022 Lamborghini Urus Cargo Capacity

Although the 2022 Urus doesn’t offer the largest cargo space in the segment, it certainly doesn’t have the smallest either.

2022 Lamborghini Urus Cargo Space

The standard cargo capacity of the Urus is 21.8 cu-ft. which can further be increased to up to 56.4 cu-ft. The cargo entry is large and it does come with a power liftgate for easy access.

The Audi RS Q8 has the best cargo capacity in the segment when compared to the rest of the contenders. On the other hand, Lamborghini Urus and Aston Martin DBX almost have similar cargo space. The Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT on the other hand not only has the smallest cabin in the segment, but it also has the smallest cargo volume.

Additional Interior Storage Spaces

The Lamborghini Urus might be a performance SUV in supercar territory, but when it comes to practicality on the inside, it isn’t as impressive. There are only a handful of small storage spaces inside; it includes an illuminated glove box, a pair of cup holders for the front and second-row each, door bins, and a small storage bin underneath the front row armrest.

2022 Lamborghini Urus Creature Comforts

The Lamborghini Urus comes with heated and ventilated seats for the front row as well as an optional heated steering wheel which certainly helps you get through during chilly winter mornings. The heads-up display too comes as a great help as it displays necessary info in the windscreen which helps the driver stay focused on the road. There are 4 12V charging ports placed in and around the cabin for your device charging needs and a WiFi hotspot further helps you have better connectivity.

The 2022 Lamborghini Urus is as sporty as SUVs can get and it has certainly made a statement worldwide with its sales figures. Being a performance SUV means that it has a better reach globally compared to the other cars in the Lamborghini stable. Also, it gets a lower price tag for the features onboard. When compared to the other Lambos, this value proposition has only helped it become more accessible to a broad target audience who want the ultimate Lamborghini experience along with sense of practicality.
