Out of the four available trims of the 2023 Lexus GX 460, the base trim is the most appropriate option due to its standard features and reasonable price. The GX 460 Luxury and the Black Line Special Edition are also good alternatives in this case but they are not as suitable as the base trim due to the price difference. The packages are convenient and there is something for everyone in this section. Some of the packages are priced reasonably high but we think that the Premium Package is sufficient for a driver to acquire all the necessary additions and it has an affordable price tag as well.

The top speed available here is 111 MPH only which is lackluster and most of the competitors have a better maximum speed in the market. The majority of the rivals offer better acceleration and the BMW X5 has the best figure with only 5.3 seconds in the 0 to 60 run. The power output is decent and only the BMW has a higher power generation while the maximum torque is definitely among the best for the 2023 Lexus GX 460. 

Ride and Handling

The riding experience is not the smoothest for an SUV but it certainly offers great stability and comfort in slightly uneven terrains but in case of very rough surfaces the passengers might feel discomfort going for long journeys. The 2023 Lexus GX 460 comes with Double Wishbone front suspension and a Multi-Link in the rear suspension to ensure better grip through automatically generated impressive wheel articulation. All the competitors have higher mileage and the BMW X5 tops the chart with the most efficient fuel economy. The Land Rover Defender has almost similar mileage with a large fuel capacity but the BMW still dominates with the highest range available in the market. The Genesis GV80 offers as good a fuel economy as the BMW and it comes with a great range as well. 

The 2023 Lexus GX 460 offers a considerably spacious cabin with three rows that offer the seating capacity of 7 passengers. The figures in the second row are comparatively higher based on the market standards and only the Land Rover Defender has better room in this case. The overall interior of the cabin is not too impressive but it offers a simple enough layout and the materials used are of good quality to increase the comfort factor. The infotainment system of the Lexus GX 460 is appropriate for its luxury status and it comes with all the standard features.
