The Mazda CX-9 has been completely redesigned for the 2016 MY. The 2016 CX-9 comes with an all-new SKYACTIV turbocharged inline-4 engine that develops an impressive 227 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque and strikes the perfect balance between fuel efficiency and power. The Mazda CX-9 may not be the fastest SUV around the block, but it sure will plant a smile on your face every time you push the gas pedal.
The cabin design has been also redone, and the CX-9 now comes with the latest Mazda Connect infotainment system. Although the cabin feels nice to look at, the space is a bit on the congested side, especially in the third-row seats. With a starting price of $31,520, it is placed in a very competitive segment, where rivals like the Honda Pilot, Hyundai Santa Fe, and the aging Dodge Durango make for a good alternative.
