Rarely do we encounter road-legal supercars with such high levels of importance, technology, and craftsmanship put into weight reduction. And that is the number one factor, making the McLaren Senna the one-of-a-kind road-legal track monster. Limited to just 500 units around the globe, the Senna is truly a masterpiece from McLaren and they have gone all-in to produce this magnificent machine. It is built upon a Carbon Fiber Monocage chassis with an abundance of carbon fiber all around and inside it achieving a mind-blowingly low curb weight even for a supercar. It is powered by McLaren’s most powerful engine ever, which is a 4.0 L twin-turbocharged V8 mated to a 7-speed Seamless Shift Gearbox (SSG) powering the rear wheels.
The Senna costs a smidge above a million dollars and there are no cars that compete against the Senna in that price point as most of them are half the price of the Senna while many costs almost or more than double. The 2024 Aston Martin Valhalla would be a high-performing competitor for the Senna while it is expected to debut in 2023. So we have taken the best from Ferrari and Lamborghini to compare against this McLaren which are the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ and the Ferrari 812 Competizione, both of which come with a similar, significantly lower price tag compared to the McLaren while being equipped with larger, V12 engines under the hood. Let’s see if they would be able to keep up with the extremely capable Senna.
