The Mercedes-Benz SL-Class is all set to return for 2022 MY in an all-new avatar and the brand has decided to make the car an AMG-only model as well. Starting its life way back in 1954, the SL-Class drew all the attention with the iconic 300 SL along with its trademark âgullwingâ doors and has become a highly-valued collector's car. From 1971 MY, the car started to get its first V8 motors along with subsequent AMG models as well.

The R232 or the 2022 model will arrive with two AMG models: the SL 55 and the SL 63. The SL 55 will get an AMG Biturbo V8 motor developing a healthy 469 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque whereas, the SL 63 will get the same motor but will generate 577 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of maximum torque. Apart from that, the car will come with a standard 2+2 seating configuration and a soft-top retracting roof, unlike the previous model.The price for the upcoming model is expected to start from $85,000.
