The 2022 Ford Mustang offers a new Stealth Edition on the 310 hp Mustang EcoBoost Premium fastback, whereas California Special can be upgraded with a new GT-Performance Package on both Mustang GT fastback and convertible models. With orders beginning later this year, it will hit the dealerships in Q1 2021.

Although Ford EVs like the Ford Mustang Mach-E, Ford-150 Lightning, and Ford E-Transit usually keep making the headlines, this time it's the conventional pony car- Ford Mustang. With Mustang being the sole car currently available for sale in the Ford lineup, the automaker is offering more personalization options for the 2022 Ford Mustang.

Ford is taking the 2022 Mustang performance and style to an all-new level with two packages. The new Stealth Edition Appearance package is available on the 310-horsepower rated Mustang EcoBoost Premium fastback model and the GT-Performance Package updates the California Special model on both Mustang GT fastback and convertible models. The California Edition boasts a 460 hp 5.0L V8 engine.

The 2022 Ford Mustang Stealth Edition comes with its unique appointments like 19-inch Ebony-black alloy wheels, black pony badges, black mirror caps, performance rear wing, and LED taillight covers borrowed from the Ice White Edition. Opening the door, you will find a matte and gloss black instrument panel with an illuminated sill plate. The Stealth Edition is offered in four color options- Atlas Blue, Carbonized Gray, Dark Matter, and Shadow Black.

The new California Special adds excitement to the pony Mustang bringing in the GT Performance Package option, crafted to deliver the ultimate performance. Some most notable feature upgrades on the package include an aggressive suspension with heavy-duty front springs, Torsen limited-slip differential, Brembo brakes, and Pirelli Summer tires.

The Mustang California Special also incorporates a large front splitter and tuned electric power steering, thanks to the GT Performance Package. The package also adds a performance rear wing on the fastback model, however, the convertible features spoiler delete as standard.

In Mustang California Special interiors get a sophisticated, yet sporty appeal from the Mico suede-trimmed door inserts, suede-trimmed seats with red stitching, and ‘GT/CS logo’ on seats and custom floor mats. Furthermore, the carbon-hex-aluminum-finished instrument panel and California Special script badge make this a Mustang you won't want to miss.

The latest 2022 Mustang California Special encompasses a blacked-out honeycomb grille, side racing stripes, and rear fender scoop that harken back to the original 1968 California Special. The ‘GT/CS’ side stripes, badges, and rear fender scoop add a unique heritage-inspired touch to the iconic muscle. The California Special is offered in nine exterior colors.

The 2022 Ford Mustang will be available to order later this year, however, it will hit the dealerships in the first quarter of 2022.
