The new Professional Trim for the 2022 Mercedes-Benz G-Class features stone guard grilles for the headlights, front and rear mud flaps, and 18-inch five-spoke alloy wheels with big off-road tires. This makes the G-Class more ready to take on off-road trails.
The in-house manufaktur customization program from Mercedes allows a range of customisation for the G-Class. It will range from roof rack, spare tire holder on the back and also the copper orange mango exterior paint job. There is also an optional Night Package that is available which adds black mirrors and a black three-pointed star in the grille.
Ten additional paint colours (including copper orange), 64-color ambient lighting, rear-seat entertainment system, and a towing hitch are included in the revised options list for the 2022 Mercedes-Benz G-Class. They will also offer it in Exclusive and AMG Line trim levels, with four different interior options.
While the current iteration of the Mercedes G-Class is powered by a twin-turbo V-8 that makes 416 horsepower and 450 lb-ft of torque. The AMG G 63 SUV features an even more powerful Handcrafted AMG 4.0L biturbo V8 producing 577 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque.
Mercedes-Benz G-Class carries a starting price of around $132,800 and it offers four packages: AMG Line, Night Package, Night Package Plus and Night Package Magno. The Professional Line will be a distinct addition to the lineup.
The Munich Auto Show also gave us a glimpse of the Concept EQG, an electrified version of the G-Class. The Mercedes-Benz Concept EQG looks as rugged as the gasoline powered G-Class and shares its resemblance to the iconic SUV. Although Mercedes have not released details about the price and drivetrain, we will get more information when the SUV nears production.
There is a glimpse of the G-Class lineup for the 2022 model year in the Professional Line, which includes dark-tinted glass for the rear window, tow hitch prep, rear-seat entertainment prep, and ambient lighting with 64 colors.
