Meanwhile, the M40i which is the high-performance version of the X3 has a starting price tag of $59,950. Furthermore, the X3 M SUV which is the ultimate form of the X3 is being offered for $72,900.
What is the price contrast between the 2023 BMW X3 SUV and its rivals?
The 2023 Acura RDX is the least expensive rival of the X3 which starts at $41,350. The 2023 Audi Q3 has an entry-level price of $43,500. Lastly, the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class SUV's final pricing is still not yet but we expect it to be around $45,000.

The 2023 BMW X3 SUV is powered by a 2.0L Turbo Inline-4 engine which is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The engine churns out 248 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. That said, the 2023 X3 M40i gets a mild-hybrid powertrain that has a net output of 382 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. Furthermore, the X3 M40i also has an 8-speed automatic setup.

With quick acceleration and ample power, the 2023 BMW X3 can pass and merge smoothly on the highway. The brakes are not oversensitive and the overall ride quality is serene. Although the steering wheel is not as precise as we thought it would be. Furthermore, the 2023 X3 does 0-60 MPH in 6.2 seconds and has a top speed of 126 MPH. It can stop from 60 MPH to 0 over a distance of 123 feet. Moreover, depending on the drivetrain, the X3 has a combined fuel economy between 24 MPG and 25 MPG. Meanwhile, the X3 M40i is able to go from 0 to 60 MPH in 4.4 seconds.
How is the exterior?

The BMW X3 got its facelift just last year. Hence, its exterior design is still fresh. That said, the 2023 X3 has sharp lines and bold curves that give it a sporty and aggressive look. Starting from the front of the vehicle, the iconic kidney grille of BMW is the centerpiece of the X3's design. Moving along the sides of the X3, the SUV boasts a distinctive bone line that starts near the front fender to the rear taillights.
On the rear end, BMW has emphasized the X3’s width with unique taillights, a big rear bumper, and two exhaust outlets. Having said that, some standard exterior features of the 2023 X3 include 19-inch wheels, a power liftgate, and LED headlights. For unique styling changes on the exterior, the M Sport package worth $4,100 is also available.
How is the interior?

The X3’s cabin lacks the pizzazz that rivals have. Its interior can use a bit more of a glamorous approach that can attract consumers. However, the X3 does offer a driver-focused cockpit. It is ergonomically designed with intuitive controls and a high-resolution display that provides critical information at a glance. Meanwhile, tall passengers in the rear row will have a hard time on long trips due to limited legroom.
That said, some standard interior features in the X3 are simulated leather upholstery, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 12-speaker Navigation system, and a navigation system. The default 10.25-inch touchscreen can be replaced with a 12.3-inch screen which is given under the Premium Package which also adds heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and many other features.
What about safety?
The BMW X3 comes with standard driving aids such as Lane departure warning, cruise control, frontal collision mitigation, and blind-spot monitoring. Surround View with 3D View, Active Park Distance Control, and more are available under the Parking Assistance Package which costs $700.
Final Thoughts
The 2023 BMW X3 is comfortable, easy to handle, practical, and fuel-efficient. However, its interior is somewhat lacking and a few features need more improvement. Nonetheless, the X3 is a good compact with a reasonable price tag.
