Chevrolet launches the 2023 Chevrolet Colorado which offers the customers greater performance, capability, and customization, plus a refreshed exterior and interior design. This truck comes in three off-road models which include the first-ever Trail Boss and an even more capable ZR2. A 2.7L turbo engine, proven in the Silverado, offers three available output variants scaled for Colorado. The pricing and additional details will be released closer to the start of production.

Chevrolet introduced the all-new 2023 Chevrolet Colorado with a primary focus on three key categories to take Colorado to the next level: elevated design, enhanced performance, and new and useful technology. The 2023 Colorado lineup includes Work Truck (WT), LT, Z71, ZR2, and first-ever Trail Boss models. The lineup features three distinctive chassis stances to optimize each model’s capabilities. 

The 2023 Colorado is based on a modern design language which lends this truck a rugged look. The wedge-shaped headlights house the DRL along with a bi-LED headlight adding the much-needed muscular presence of this truck. The sharper body lines on the front bumper enhance the bold and strong look. The black honeycomb grille at the front which houses the Chevrolet bowtie emblem gives Colorado a classic look. While the WT and LT modes sport a 17-inch wheel, the Z71, and Trail Boss sport 18-inch wheels. 

The 2023 Colorado introduces an all-new interior that blends refinement and functionality with work-ready durability and comfort. The standard 11.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system is the centerpiece of the cabin and it is accompanied by an 8-inch digital driver display. This truck features four distinct new interior options which have sporty round outboard vents, wrapped and stitched knee pads on the doors and center console for select models, and more adventurous contrast stitching on select models. This truck also gets a Colorado-first available sunroof on 4WD LT, Z71, and ZR2. 

The 2023 Colorado also features a segment-first tailgate storage solution. When the tailgate is down, the lockable lid opens to a 45-inch-wide (1,143 mm) and 4-inch-deep (101 mm) compartment with a drain. The rear bed also hosts 17 available tie-down points, tri-level storage with bed pockets, a motorcycle/bicycle groove in the front bed wall, an available 110-volt power outlet, and an Available remote tailgate locking/unlocking, and an available spray-on Bedliner.

This truck gets an all-new 2.7-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine sourced from Chevrolet Silverado. The 2023 Colorado gets three different tuning of the same engine to fulfill its three different model needs. The standard 2.7-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine produces 237 hp and 259 lb-ft of torque and it powers WT and LT models. The 2.7-liter Turbo Plus engine produces 310 hp and 390 lb-ft of torque and is available as standard on Z71 and Trail Boss models and is available as an option in WT and LT models. The 2.7-liter Turbo High-Output engine produces 310 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque and is available as standard on the ZR2 model. These engines are paired with 8-speed automatic transmission. 

The 2023 Colorado lineup arrives re-engineered with three distinct chassis setups to support everyday tasks and off-road adventures. The Trail Boss features a 2-inch lifted suspension and wide chassis that produces more ground clearance and a 3-inch wider front track than WT and LT for enhanced off-road driving capability. ZR2 is the most capable of them all, with a high-performance 3-inch lifted suspension and upgraded Multimatic DSSV dampers. All models are built on a new chassis that gives the 2023 Colorado a 3.1-inch-longer wheelbase. 

The 2023 Chevrolet Colorado gets 5 drive modes to support the new Colorado’s increased off-road and trailering capabilities which include Normal, Tow/Haul, Off-road, Terrain, and Baja. The safety features offered by this truck include the standard Chevy Safety Assist package and the optional Available features for all models include Blind Zone Steering Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control, HD Surround Vision, and Rear Pedestrian Alert. This truck also features the trailering App which is designed to help drivers with all stages of trailering. 

The production of the 2023 Chevrolet Colorado begins in the first half of 2023 at General Motors’ Wentzville, Missouri. The Pricing and additional details will be released closer to the start of production. The EPA estimated fuel economy of the 2023 Chevrolet Colorado will be similar to the Silverado as it is powered by the same engine which returns 17 mpg in the city, 20 mpg on the highway, and 18 mpg combined. The major rivals of the Chevrolet Colorado are Toyota Tacoma, Ford Ranger, and GMC Canyon
