To commemorate the final run of the 2022 CT4-V Blackwing and the CT5-V Blackwing gas-powered performance sedans, Cadillac has decided to give it over 24 Easter eggs. The Easter eggs are spread everywhere around the car. These Easter eggs include a signed plaque of the V-Series team that developed the sedans, a signed plaque from the master engine maker that made the supercharged V8 engine of the CT5-V Blackwing sedan, laser-etched maps of the testing grounds of Blackwing sedans, etc.

To honor its performance sedans the CT4-V Blackwing and the CT5-V Blackwing, Cadillac has hidden several Easter eggs in them. Another reason which seems obvious to do this is to give the two performance sedans a proper send-off before Cadillac pulls the plug on its gas-powered performance sedans. Among the myriad Easter eggs, there are laser etched maps of various tracks and testing centers used by Cadillac engineers to hone the CT4-V Blackwing and the CT5-V Blackwing.

The laser-etched maps give homage to these testing grounds. The laser-etched maps can be found on the paddle shifter covers in case you go with the manual transmission version. The two locations showcased in the laser-etched maps were the Milford Proving Ground map and the GM Technical Center map. Further, the steering wheel of each of the CT4-V Blackwing and the CT5-V Blackwing will come with a V-Series plaque.

On that, the serial number of that specific model will be etched. Other not-so-hidden Easter eggs include the V-Series logo and the Mondrian pattern on the manual shift knob. While the CT4-V Blackwing and the CT5-V Blackwing riding on 19-inch wheels get the Blackwing emblem in pockets of each wheel. Apart from this company has revealed two more Easter eggs that can be easily spotted while the other not-so-easy to spot Easter eggs haven’t been disclosed and left on the owner to discover them.

The last two Easter eggs disclosed by the company include the V-Series logo on the air stakes, the air stakes are only available on models with an optional Carbon Fiber 1 package. While the last one is a Mondrian pattern on the underwing of the CT4-V Blackwing and the CT5-V Blackwing. But that’s not all Cadillac has also planned a 250 unit Collector Series of each the CT4-V Blackwing and the CT5-V Blackwing.

Each of these special Collector Series cars will come with a signature bearing sill plate. The signature will be of the members that were part of the Cadillac V-Series team. While on the B-pillar there will be another plate bearing the serial of Performance Steering Wheel in the car. Finally, the top-end CT5-V Blackwing differentiates itself from the CT4-V Blackwing by having a signed plaque on its hand-built supercharged V8 engine, the sign will be of the master-builder of that engine.

Finally quoting Brandon Vivian, executive chief engineer, Cadillac, on the CT4-V Blackwing and the CT5-V Blackwing “The CT4-V Blackwing and CT5-V Blackwing are the quintessential examples of form and function coming together. This was made possible by Engineering and Design working together from the very beginning to get the most out of these cars. The paddle shifter covers symbolize that union, with the customer at the center of it all.”

That said, those looking to buy the 2022 CT4-V Blackwing and the 2022 CT5-V Blackwing can do so by paying between $59,990 to $87,775 for the CT4-V Blackwing. And paying between $84,990 to $125,980 for the CT5-V Blackwing. Thus a fully-loaded 2022 CT5-V Blackwing easily goes into the six-figure mark.
