Chevrolet has revealed the 2024 Silverado HD for the public. It retains the familiar face with few tweaks to the headlights. However the biggest update is to the interior which gets an all-new dash design. The 6.6-liter gasoline engine is unchanged but the Duramax 6.6L Turbo-Diesel V8 has enhanced performance.The expected price of the 2024 Silverado HD is around $41,000. When launched in 2023, it will rival other heavy-duty trucks like theFord F-250, GMC Sierra 2500HDandRAM 2500.

The 2024 Silverado HD gets a sleeker face with clean lines, unlike the polarizing front of the 2022 Silverado HD. The headlights are now re-designed into a single unit with C-shaped daytime running lamps. The hood scoop gets Chevrolet badging while the taillights are also re-designed. New 18-, 20- and 22-inch tire options round-up the exterior changes.

Inside, is where the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado HD takes a giant leap. The dashboard is completely new and inspired by the iconic Chevy C/K series trucks of the 1970s-80s. It is available from the LT trim level only. For the first time it gets a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display and a 13.4-inch infotainment screen. The bulky center panel of the earlier model is replaced by this new, driver oriented, narrower setup.
In terms of features the new Silverado HD gets wireless phone charging and built-in Google. Standard safety features have increased and now include adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, front collision warning, front pedestrian braking and lane departure warning.

The maximum towing capacity of the 2024 Silverado HD is 19,150 lbs for the gasoline engine. The diesel engine has a maximum towing capacity of 36,000 lbs. For safer trailering the new Silverado HD gets adaptive cruise control with trailer, transparent trailer technology and trailer side blind zone alert. The expanded Transparent Trailer tech now works with gooseneck trailers too.

The new Silverado HD lineup will continue with the 2500HD and 3500HD models in regular, double or crew cab configurations. The trim levels are similar as before including the WT, Custom, LT, LTZ and the range-topping High Country. The off-roader ZR2 will sit above the High Country when it is launched.

The 2024 Silverado HD also gets a High Country Midnight Edition for the top-spec High Country trim. It includes black chrome exterior accents, black badging, and black, 20-inch wheels, with an option for 22-inch wheels.
2024 Chevrolet Silverado HD gets six new exterior colors: Sterling Gray, Radiant Red, Dark Ash, Auburn Metallic, while Meteorite Metallic and Lakeshore Blue Metallic will be available later on.

The 2024 Chevy Silverado HD will continue with the 6.6-liter V8 gasoline engine, which produces 401 hp and 464 lb-ft of torque. The Duramax 6.6-liter turbo V8 diesel however gets a different tune. It now produces company claimed figures of 470 hp and 975lb-ft of torque. The diesel, low-end torque is improved by 25 percent for better trailering and low-speed performance. Both the engines now get a 10-speed, Allison automatic transmission as standard.
Chevrolet 2024 Silverado HD will debut for the public on September 29, at the State Fair of Texas. Production will begin in the first half of 2023.

The 2024 Silverado HD prices will be revealed by Chevrolet, when production starts. We can expect price hikes over the existing range of models. The current price of the base Silverado 2500HD WT(Work Truck) is $39,995, for the regular cab and it goes upto $64,795 for the High Country, Crew cab. It rivals the Ford F-250 Super Duty, GMC Sierra 2500HD and the RAM 2500. The starting prices of these trucks are $41,240, $37,895 and $44,570 respectively.
