Mercedes-Benz is known for its reliability and comfort. With the arrival of their performance wing, AMG, Mercedes has been creating some of the most unique and enjoyable performance machines over the years. Because the only German cars that people consider sporty are BMWs and Porsches, here's a list of all the Mercedes-AMG models that can outperform almost any sports car on the planet.

Mercedes-Benz has been creating some of the most amazing and iconic performance cars with the help of its AMG division. Mercedes-AMG is known for building badass cars with massive turbo-V8 engines. However, there have been some significant changes to the AMG lineup's tradition over time.

We have curated a total of 5 fastest Mercedes available currently, and I kid you not, it includes a fully electric AMG in it along with a PHEV. So they've come a long way from where they started and what legacy they've left behind. Let’s have a look at lightning fast cars from the Mercedes-AMG garage below-

5. Mercedes AMG EQS 4Matic

Our first and slowest AMG on this list is an electric luxury sedan that has a lot of power and instant torque but still can't break the sub-3 second club, most likely due to its heavy battery and loaded luxury interior. The Mercedes AMG EQS 4Matic is the first ever fully electric AMG and yes, it’s supercar-level quick.

The AMG EQS competes with the likes of Audi RS e-Tron GT, Tesla Model S, Lucid Air, and the Porsche Taycan Turbo. All of these luxury EVs come with a decent range and a staggeringly fast acceleration.

4. Mercedes AMG SL63

Since there’s no replacement for the legendary Mercedes AMG GT yet, the only two-door AMG that can give you the closest level of performance to that is the new Mercedes AMG SL63. Even though it isn't as crazy as the AMG GT, it still packs a lot of fun with a big engine and a smooth shifting 9-speed automatic transmission.

The SL63 comes at a starting MSRP of $178,100 in the US and sits at the top of the two-door AMG lineup. However, if you are short on budget and can settle for a detuned version of the same engine,, then you can easily save up nearly $40,000 by choosing the SL55 AMG, which will cost you around $137,400.

The SL63 AMG competes with the likes of Jaguar F-Type SVR, Porsche Carrera GTS Cabriolet, and BMW M8.

3. Mercedes AMG GT63 S

There’s always a reason behind a human creation. When Mercedes engineers designed the Mercedes AMG GT63 S, they had one goal in mind: a supersport-coupe that could comfortably seat a family of four.

Well, you can say that they have nailed it. The AMG GT63 S is a perfect example of a car that is made for a man who takes care of his family during the day and becomes Batman at night. With an estimated price tag under $200,000, it can even put a V10 supercar to shame in terms of acceleration.

The Mercedes AMG GT63 S has rivals like the Audi RS7, Porsche Panamera GTS, and the BMW M8 Competition Gran Coupe.

2. Mercedes AMG One

The Mercedes AMG One is the first hypercar from the brand in a very long time. The AMG One is derived from Mercedes’s championship-winning F1 cars and Mercedes engineers have treated it with thousands of F1 technologies since its success in the Formula One world.

Unlike other AMGs, it uses a very small engine, but has a lot of aerodynamic features to increase downforce at the corners while carrying immense amounts of speed. Recently, it became the fastest production car around the Nurburgring with a time of 6:35:183.

If you are familiar with the Nurburgring times, then you’d know that the last record was held by a Porsche 911 GT2 RS fitted with the Manthey-Racing kit, and the time was 6:43:300, and the new lap record set by the AMG hypercar is almost 8.1 seconds quicker. This is a huge margin, and maybe that is exactly why you have to pay almost $2.72 million for the AMG One.

1. Mercedes AMG E63 S

E class means business and comfort, and there’s no question about that statement. But that's also an indication of long days at the office; and even though you may need a comfortable ride back home for five days, you'll definitely crave some adrenaline rush on the weekends, won't you?

Yes you will, and there are two different ways to have it, buy a separate supercar with 500+ hp like a Huracan, which is probably going to cost you $200,000+ or buy a Mercedes E63 S AMG.

The E63 AMG, which is expected to cost less than $150,000, provides supercar-level power, sub-3-second 0-60 times, and four seats with adequate interior space; what else could anyone want?

In the US market, the E63 S will compete with the likes of BMW M5, Audi RS7 Sportback, and the Maserati Ghibli Trofeo
