The Toyota Tundra Capstone trim is the most luxurious and well-equipped Tundra pickup truck till today. The Capstone configuration comes in the CrewMax bodystyle, and rivals similar premium pickup trucks. The truck is powered by the i-FORCE MAX hybrid twin-turbocharged 3.4L V6 engine, that outputs 437 hp and has a towing capacity of 10,340 lbs. On the inside, the Capstone comes with a panoramic sunroof, leather seats, a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, and a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment unit.

The 2022 Toyota Tundra Capstone Grade is the latest addition to the Tundra lineup for 2022. The Capstone is the ultimate form of the Tundra pickup truck, in the CrewMax body style. It is the most luxurious and powerful Tundra to date, meant to take on the likes of the Sierra Denali Ultimate, the Ford F-150 Platinum, and other luxury pickup trucks. The Tundra Capstone comes with a 5.5-foot long bed and will hit the dealership in the spring of 2022. The Tundra Capstone model’s pricing has not been announced yet.

The Capstone edition truck is powered by the i-FORCE MAX hybrid engine, a 3.4L twin-turbocharged V6 unit. The engine outputs 437 hp and has a torque output of 583 lb-ft. The truck will come standard with an 10-speed automatic transmission and 4WD. On the Capstone trim, the Tundra comes with a towing capacity of 10,340 lbs, and a payload capacity of 1,485 lbs. On the Tundra Capstone edition, suspension duties are taken care of by adaptive dampers and the new Load-Levelling Height Control Air suspension.

The Tundra also gets three driving modes: Eco, Normal, and Sport. The Tundra Capstone makes use of a high-strength-steel frame with sheet-molded-compound bed construction with reinforced aluminum cross members for beeter protection and ruggedness. To provide a better and more composed ride comfort, the Tundra Capstone’s cabin is mounted on the frame with the help of hydraulic cab mounts.

On the inside, the Tundra Capstone features a black and white interior with Walnut inlays, and an illuminated Capstone logo on the dashboard. The car features automatic running boards and bedside steps as well. Once inside, the Capstone trim greets you with standard semi-aniline leather trimmed seats. A panoramic sunroof is standard, and the acoustic glass windows on the front doors help provide a quieter cabin experience. The steering wheel comes leather-wrapped with heated functionality.

The Tundra Capstone also features a total of three screens: a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14-inch infotainment unit, and a 10-inch color headup display unit. The infotainment unit comes standard with Toyota Audio Multimedia system, with sight, touch, and voice activation capabilities. The unit will also support dual Bluetooth phone connectivity, WiFi Connect, 4G, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

A 12-speaker JBL sound system is standard as well. On the outside, the Toyota Tundra Capstone will be offered in six colors: Wind Chill Pearl, Magnetic Grey Metallic, Celestial Silver Metallic, Midnight Black Metallic, Supersonic Red, and Blueprint. The exterior is filled with chrome inserts throughout, and 22-inch wheels are standard. The lining of the grille of the Capstone is color-matched to the body color.

In terms of safety, the Tundra Capstone will come equipped with Toyota Safety Sense 2.5, which includes driver-assistance systems such as pre-collision safety, pedestrian detection with corrective action, emergency steering assist, rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot monitoring, and lane assist. The Dynamic Radar Cruise Control feature is standard as well. The Capstone will come with Toyota’s 3 years/ 36,000 miles new vehicle warranty, and a 5 years/ 60,000 miles powertrain warranty. A 5 year corrosion warranty is standard as well.
