We Recommend

All the trims that are offered meet a variety of functional requirements. The base Cayenne will be the best bet for the average commuter and city errand runner, as it has better MPG, yet still has enough power to overcome most traffic. For serious enthusiasts, opt for the Turbo trim if you have the money to spend.

2015 Porsche Cayenne Engine and Performance

8.0/10

The 2015 Porsche Cayenne is available with three engines: a 3.0-liter turbo diesel V6 with 240 horsepower powers the Diesel trim, a 3.6-liter twin-turbocharged V6 with 420 horsepower in the Cayenne S, and a 4.8-liter twin-turbo V8 with 520 horsepower for the Turbo trim. Automatic transmission with eight speeds and an all-wheel-drive system comes standard.

In terms of performance, the Cayenne takes 7.3 seconds to reach 60 mph, while its quarter-mile time is unknown. A new suspension system is helping to make the 2015 Porsche Cayenne more agile and responsive than ever. This dynamic steering system has been tuned to give you a level of control that's never been possible before. You'll have more confidence at high speeds for safer cornering, more agility through tight turns, and smoother tracking straight ahead.

2015 Porsche Cayenne Exterior

6.0/10

The new 2015 Porsche Cayenne is the most advanced SUV in the world. It's not your typical SUV; it has intelligence, captivating curves, and an amazing body. With distinctive styling, it's immediately apparent that the Porsche Cayenne is in a class of its own — and not just in size. This muscular SUV blends power with elegance to create an aura of true presence and confidence. Changes to the exterior are improved LED taillights, standard xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights on the exterior lighting package, and standard parking sensors on the rear bumper when other packages are selected.

Dynamism, performance, and prestige: this is what the new Cayenne stands for. The striking exterior, with its instantly recognizable profile, provides an enormously appealing impression of sportiness and power. At the same time, the air intakes at the vehicle's front end enable sufficiently high airflow to the six individual radiators in order to provide cooling for underfloor components as part of Porsche thermal management.

2015 Porsche Cayenne Final Verdict

Taken as a whole, the 2015 Porsche Cayenne is an excellent luxury SUV. It has extremely good performance, and it is a delight to drive. There are three different engines available, each with its own advantages. All of them make more than enough power for any situation. The interior is spacious and luxurious, as befits the Porsche name. The design has been refined for 2015 for the better, although there are still some awkward angles here and there. Nevertheless, this is a luxury car that we would gladly recommend.
