The 2017 Porsche Cayenne comes with the same exterior design and gets a few upgrades in its exterior features. On the inside, it is as opulent and comforting as ever. Under its hood is a 3.6L V6 engine that churns out a modest 300 hp, making the Cayenne capable of reaching a quarter-mile in just 13.8 seconds. The brake performance isn't as impressive as its acceleration, even its 0-60 timings on the chart are not the best in class.

2017 Porsche Cayene

With a torque output of 295 lb-ft, it is capable of towing 7716 lbs. The Cayenne has decent dimensions, safety, fuel efficiency, and infotainment features to offer. It gets a tough time from its rivals such as the 2017 Audi Q7, with its outstanding performance, the 2017 Land Rover Discovery that comes at ten grand cheaper than the Cayenne and yet offers more power and reliability. Lastly, the 2017 BMW X6 has a configuration set-up that is extremely similar to the Cayenne.

For the 2017 Model year, the Porsche Cayenne comes in a total of seven trims, the MSRP range of which goes from $59,600-$159,600. Out of the seven trims we have taken into consideration only two trims that come with a 3.6L V6 powertrain. The other trims get different powertrains and are reviewed separately. The trims considered are the basic Cayenne that comes in at $59,600 and the Cayenne Platinum at $65,500.

2017 Porsche Cayenne

This powertrain is capable of churning out 300 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. The 2017 make doesn't come with the best acceleration but it does have a phenomenal quarter-mile timing to its record. In terms of gas mileage, it offers about average. The interiors are extremely opulent and plush, this is something Porsche is known for.
