The Porsche Cayenne Turbo Coupe is a four-door mid-size SUV, which is a more sporty version of the normal Cayenne. The term ‘Coupe’ here doesn’t mean the two-door design but it rather means the sloping front and rear roofline and lowered seating position which matches the driving dynamics of a coupe. Porsche introduced the Coupe version in 2020 in the hope of making its name in manufacturing the sleeker SUV with the coupe-like performance on the roads and with that attitude the German automaker has hit the right spot.

Porsche Cayenne Coupe is a stylish SUV, it offers a great sports stance while having the advantages of an SUV. While the Porsche has granted the much sportier vibes in the 2021 Cayenne Coupe Turbo and the upcoming 2022 model won’t be any different from its core but Porsche might enhance the cabin look as per the feedback gathered from the customers. 2022 version of Turbo trim would like to be priced around $132,700. The current model is also worth considering with the Premium Plus and Lightweight sports packages.

2022 Porsche Cayenne Coupe Turbo SUV Engine and Performance

The Porsche Cayenne Coupe gets different powertrains for different trim levels but the 2021 Cayenne Coupe Turbo is powered by the 4.0-liter, turbocharged V8 gas engine which churns out a healthy 541 horsepower and 568 lb-ft of torque. It was the most powerful gas ‘engine in the Cayenne Coupe series until the recent announcement of the Turbo GT trim which promises a total of 631 horsepower.

The vehicle uses the 8-speed automatic Tiptronic S transmission with the manual shifter to transfer the power to all four wheels of the car by an all-wheel-drive system. It takes the Cayenne Turbo 3.7 seconds to accelerate from standstill to 60mph and with the help of all the power it can achieve the top speed of 177mph. The 2022 model will not experience any change regarding the power and drivetrain options.

The Mercedes-Benz AMG GLE 63 S Coupe features the most powerful engine with respect to the comparison, the AMG is followed by the German automaker which just falls below the AMG by just 3 horsepower. On the other hand, the Cayenne Coupe generates the least power in the competition but performance figures aren’t much different from the rivals but when it comes to the top speed then the Porsche Cayenne takes the lead.

The AMG GLE has the beefiest engine and despite that fact, it’s the one that claims the fuel economy numbers amongst the competition, whereas Porsche Cayenne with the least power is unable to claim better efficiency. Although all the vehicles listed above perform the same in the practical world. In real-world tank capacity matters, the most due to the gas-guzzling nature of the sports engine, and Cayenne seems to shine in that department.

2022 Porsche Cayenne Coupe Turbo SUV Interior

9.0/10

The Porsche Cayenne Coupe’s interior comes with a seating capacity of 4 occupants as standard but Porsche has offered a 5 seating option. The cabin has been covered in the full leather touch material with some minor dark grey suede touches on the roof and floor. The front row gets standard 14-way adjustable sport seats with memory settings, while 18-way adjustable optional seats certainly enhance the seating comfort, by the way, either of the seats comes factory fitted with a heating system.

Porsche offers the full sports leather front and rear row seats with the turbo embossed on them and customers can opt for any color from Porsche’s inventory. The front row has a big 12-inch infotainment display with dual-zone automatic climate control buttons situated just below it. The center console gets a wireless charging two sets of cupholder for front and back seats. The 2022 version would follow the same interior design.

Well, there is nothing much that can be said about how spacious the cabins of different vehicles are. But one can definitely claim the plushness and the high level of comfortability at the price point that these vehicles come with. Porsche offers a standard 4 seats but an extra seat can be added for no additional cost. 2022 Porsche Cayenne Coupe Turbo SUV Exterior

6.0/10

The exterior styling of the Porsche Cayenne Coupe radiates the sporty vibes with the 21-inch RS Spyder Design wheels in satin black with all-season tires, high gloss black paint ORVMs. The front and then rear pillar have a sloping roofline which certainly provides this car a Coupe look. The front side has got the LED main headlights but an optional LED matrix beam with LED four-point daytime running lights is also available.

The muscular and the angular design would definitely carry Porsche’s athletic DNA, its front side has large intake grilles. The rear gets two spoilers, one is integrated on the roof while the other one lifts up at a particular speed to provide more downforce. The adaptive air suspension takes care of the comfortable ride quality while maintaining a stable posture on turns. Customers can choose an optional 22-inch wheel, carbon fiber roof, skid for front & rear end, a trailer hitch, and much more. The 2022 version will follow the same design language.

2022 Porsche Cayenne Coupe Turbo SUV Competition

8.0/10

Porsche Cayenne Coupe Turbo Vs Mercedes-Benz AMG GLE 63 S Coupe

The Mercedes-Benz AMG GLE 63 S Coupe stacks up a more powerful engine which grants the vehicle slightly better performance figures and Mercedes won’t even think about changing it for the 2022 version. Porsche Cayenne Coupe Turbo on the other hand looks more sporty and has much greater exterior styling than the AMG GLE. In this segment, it doesn’t matter how fuel-efficient a vehicle is but still, AMG GLE claims relatively finer economy numbers.

Porsche Cayenne Coupe Turbo Vs Audi RS Q8

The Audi RS Q8 has a bulky front end and Audi looks more of an SUV as compared to the Porsche Cayenne. The big front grille and other small intake grilles unquestionably complete the sharp LED headlights of the vehicle. Both vehicles’ engines acquire similar performance figures but Porsche’s speed reaches 170 mph which is 22mph more than Audi’s top speed. Audi somewhat claims poor economy but offers more cargo space and it is also approx $17,000 cheaper than the Porsche.

Porsche Cayenne Coupe Turbo Vs BMW X6 M

The BMW X6 M gets its iconic front grille with massive air intake grilles just located at the bottom of the front end. Porsche has a smaller displacement engine which also makes 56 less horsepower than the BMW but that doesn’t stop it from delivering awesome performance. BMW X6 M not only lacks in performance but it also fails to claim better economy numbers. However, BMW has an upper hand in cargo space.

2022 Porsche Cayenne Coupe Turbo SUV Final Verdict

The 2022 Porsche Cayenne Coupe Turbo hasn’t been announced by the German automaker but we will definitely see the next version. Porsche will follow the footsteps of the current model and will try to maintain the core specifications and technology. However, some changes regarding the interior styling may happen depending on the customer’s feedback. The Cayenne Coupe Turbo is an all-in-one product with best-in-class performance, comfort, safety tech, and head-turner looks. It costs much more than its rivals but it definitely puts one’s mind at ease.
