Tesla has been a trendsetter when it comes to new car launches. The Model X has been a successful SUV in Tesla's portfolio since its inception in 2011. Now with the 2022 Tesla Model X Plaid, the brand is trying to make headlines. The Model X Plaid is the range-topping version of the regular Tesla Model X. The Plaid version would be priced at a premium of $30K from the base model, and that would bring the price of the Model X Plaid to $119,990, making its costliest crossovers in the segment.
With standard AWD, the Model X Plaid is believed to offer impressive handling and performance. The SUV offers an extraordinary acceleration of 2.5 seconds. The interiors are likely to be similar to the Model X with carbon fiber work around the cabin. The massive 17-inch touchscreen display will be the center of attraction and offer a minimalistic look altogether. The infotainment is claimed to be highly responsive and user-friendly. The launch is slated for the end of 2021 or early 2022. We shall watch the 2022 Model X Plaid competing against the Mercedes-Benz EQC, the Jaguar I-Pace, and the Audi e-tron.
