The Toyota Tacoma continues with no major changes for the 2017 model year. The two engine options available for the 2017 Tacoma are a 2.7-liter four-cylinder with 159 horsepower, and a 3.5-liter V6 with 278 horsepower. All this makes Tacoma a real deal in this segment and is all set to compete with the likes of the Nissan Frontier, Chevrolet Colorado, and the GMC Canyon.

The 2017 Toyota Tacoma is offered in four trim levels. With a starting price of $24,575 and very few features, the SR trim is Tacoma's entry-level model. The 2017 Toyota Tacoma comes in two-bed lengths: 5-foot and 6-foot. Gas, insurance, repairs, and maintenance for Tacoma are expected to cost $25,100 over five years or nearly $5,000 per year.

" The Tacoma has the same safety features and user-friendly infotainment system as the Tundra, and it tops the larger Toyota in off-road ability, fuel economy, and value." - U.S News

There are two engine options available for the 2017 Toyota Tacoma. The 2.7-liter I-4 rated at 159 hp and 180 lb-ft of torque carried over from the previous-generation Tacoma remains unchanged there is also a 3.5-liter V-6 with 278 hp and 265 lb-ft which was new for the 2016 model year. The cabin, which was completely refurbished in 2016, has higher-quality materials than previous years and remains mostly unchanged for 2017.

There are four trim levels available for the 2017 Toyota Tacoma. The SR trim is Tacoma's entry-level model, with a starting price of $24,575 and modest equipment. The TRD Sport and TRD off-road are designed for the more adventurous driver and include a locking rear differential, crawl control, and a multimode off-road traction control system.

Despite the fact that all four versions are nearly identical with only small differences in features, we recommend the TDR off road solely for its off-road capabilities, which could be useful in a pickup. A Multi crawl control system and daytime running lamps are standard on this model, as well as a slew of other improvements.

2017 Toyota Tacoma Access Cab Engine and Performance

The power outputs, on the other hand, are respectable, with the Chevrolet and GMC registering similarly enormous amounts. Also, the Toyota Tacoma comes standard with a six-speed automatic transmission, the other three models all come with a six-speed manual transmission.

2017 Toyota Tacoma Access Cab Handling and Steering

The journey is noticeably smoother and less congested in the 2017 Toyota Tacoma than in previous years. The 16-inch TRD Off-Road tyres' Bilstein shocks and tall sidewalls are efficient at providing a comfortable ride. In comparison to previous years, the redesigned interior seems rather compact, with lower levels of wind and road noise.

The 2017 Toyota Tacoma offers part-time four-wheel drive with a low-range transfer case

2017 Toyota Tacoma Access Cab Braking

There is no surprise in here as the Tacoma, being close to the best when it comes to acceleration, has a proportional braking to go with it too with about 123 feet to stop from 60 mph.

The inside is attractive and well-designed, with simple controls that are easy to use. Upfront, the cabin offers plenty of room, but tall people might disagree. The seating of the Toyota remains top-notch as ever. They are sturdy and provides adequate support to the back and thighs.

2017 Toyota Tacoma Access Cab front seats and dash

The rear seats are significantly more comfy and superior. Passengers taller than 6 feet, on the other hand, will have a difficult time. The headroom is suitable for a normal-sized adult, and the knee room is plentiful.

2017 Toyota Tacoma Access Cab Exterior

6.0/10

While Tacoma's appearance hasn't changed much, the hoodline has been pushed up somewhat, and the more forceful, hex-pattern grille appears to have been borrowed from the larger Tundra series. The Tacoma comes with two different bed lengths: 5-foot and 6-foot. A lockable tailgate and eight cargo tie-down cleats are standard on both.

The Tacoma is one of the heaviest pickup trucks on the market today. It also has large interiors, resulting in a lot of space on the inside. The ground clearance is also worth considering. Tacoma's ground clearance, at 9.4 inches, is far higher than the competition, demonstrating the vehicle's off-road capability.
