With the Toyota Venza Hybrid, the Japanese automaker decided to enter the hybrid compact crossover market. The Toyota Venza is a stylish version of the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid. The powertrain, chassis, and other components are borrowed from the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid but cost a bit more as it is a more upscale version of it.

As for the year 2022 model, the Venza will remain the same as that of the 2021 model year without any major changes. What it will get is a more upscale interior with high-grade plastics which will attract more buyers. The Toyota Venza Hybrid is yet another car from Toyota that is a hit in the market because of its striking looks and versatility.

With power output of 219 HP combined and a smooth reliable CVT transmission , the Toyota Venza can smoke most of its competitors and the quarter mile results prove that. Subaru Crosstek and Honda CR-V come quite close to Venza. An extra electric motor motor helps Venza to outperform its rivals.

2022 Toyota Venza hybrid SUV Fuel Economy

6.0/10

The 2.5L inline 4 cylinder engine provides 40 MPG in the city and about 37 MPG on the highway and 39 MPG combined. It has 14.5 gallons of the fuel tank and can easily cruise for 580 miles nonstop on a full tank. This is the advantage of a Hybrid car. Although all of the 2022 Toyota Venza Hybrid’s competitors hit the same ballpark in terms of the MPG figures, the 2022 Ford Escape Hybrid absolutely crushes others with a better range in the cities as well as in highways. It can travel many miles as compared to its competitors. So, if you are a buyer who is looking for better mileage then the 2022 Ford Escape Hybrid will be a better choice for you.

2022 Toyota Venza hybrid SUV Interior

8.0/10

The 2022 Toyota Venza Hybrid is a very potential car and looks sporty on the outside. The same is the case in the interior. The interior looks more upscale which was an underwhelming thing in the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid. The dashboard has a unique shape which looks good. The entire dashboard is covered with high-grade plastic and has a few leather trims here and there. The dashboard is placed perfectly which will not cause visibility issues for shorter folks. It has five seats in two rows. The seats have cloth upholstery as standard which can be upgraded to synthetic leather.

The front seats are wide enough and are cushioned which is comfortable for long rides. These seats can be power adjusted even in the base trims. The armrest is also comfortable for both the driver as well as the passenger. At the back, there is space for two adults and a child to sit comfortably. The backseats can be reclined so that during long rides the passengers can be more comfortable and won’t feel any back pain.
