The 2017 Chevrolet Traverse is available for sale with a base price tag of $28,700. The new base LS 1SM joins other trims which include LS, 1LT, 2LT, and Premier, the latter replacing the LTZ trim. A 281-hp 3.6L V6 is the main powerhouse of the Traverse and has its towing capacity rated at 5,200 pounds. Despite its bulky shape, the Traverse takes 6.8 seconds to sprint from 0-60 MPH but its poor fuel economy decreases its value.
The age of the Traverse can be witnessed by looking at its dated cabin layout. Nevertheless, it offers a spacious and practical interior. It also earned good safety ratings from the safety agencies. Speaking of its reliability, it scored decently but has received a lot of problems from its buyers due to which it ranks at the bottom. The Traverse gives tough competition to other segment leaders such as the Toyota Highlander, the Ford Explorer, and the Honda Pilot.
