Starting at $33,420 the 2018 Nissan Maxima comes with only a couple of addition for this year out of which the highlights being Android Auto and forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking now being offered as standard. The 2018 Maxima is powered by a 300 hp, 3.5-liter V6 engine which offers strong performance with under six seconds 0-60 mph timing. In the favor of better fuel economy, a lousy CVT gearbox does transmission duty which does ensure a fabulous 25 mpg of gas mileage in mixed driving conditions but robs away the performance potential of Maxima's V6 up to a certain extent.

The ride quality and overall comfort inside the cabin remain best-in-class while the feature list on offer is adequate to qualify it as a luxury product from a mass-market budget-friendly brand. The Maxima has always been known for its safety and this year it added a couple of more safety features as a standard, as a result, it once again bagged the top honors from IIHS. That said, the Maxima isn't without its set of cons and the first couple of things that come to our mind are lack of rear-seat space and a vague steering wheel.
