The Volkswagen Atlas is one of the newest contenders in the mid-size SUV segment. The butchy looks, spritely engine options and straightforward tech has made it a compelling option in the segment. Introduced back in 2018, the Atlas comes in as the fifth iteration of its first-generation for the year 2022. The 2022 Volkswagen Atlas remains mostly unchanged but brings in a couple of minor updates including wireless smartphone integration on SE and higher trims, while SEL and higher trims get standard adaptive cruise control.

2022 Volkswagen Atlas Trim Levels and Configurations: Price, Features, Options and Colors

The 2021 Volkswagen Atlas will be available in 3 standard trims with options to go for trim-specific packages including Technology and R-line packages. As for the powertrain options, the base SE trim is limited to a 235hp 2.0L turbocharged engine, while SE with Technology Package and SEL trim can opt from a bigger 3.6L V6. The R-Line trims only get the 3.6L V6 and get AWD as standard. All trims irrespective of the engine configuration get an 8-speed automatic transmission as standard. The base prices for the 2022 Volkswagen start at $35,670 and AWD is available at a premium of $2,000 for trims that get it as an option.
